On December 18th, 2023, on the occasion of the scientific event “Fundeni Clinical Institute Days”, the Fundeni Immunogenetics and Virology Center was the host of a hands-on workshop entitled “Advanced technologies in molecular investigation” attended by 20 students, resident doctors . and medical specialists. This workshop aimed to understand the workflow in a research and clinical molecular biology laboratory, in order to quantify target genes/proteins, based on in vitro studies.
It also provided practical applications including basic techniques used in molecular biology such as:
1. Immunoenzymatic tests:
– ELISA
– Chemiluminescence
– Luminex multiplex test
2. Molecular Biology Tests:
– DNA extraction
– Real-time PCR and results interpretation
– SSP PCR
– Chimerism STR
– SBT Sanger
– NGS Illumina
